The NV Caucus of 2008 was utter chaos totally lacking in organization. By comparison, the NV Caucus of 2012 was organized chaos. If you are a glass-half-full kind of person, the 2012 Caucus held at Green Valley High School in Henderson showed signs of improvement and progress. If you were waiting in line at the NV Caucus, your glass was definitely half empty.

Precinct 7414 Henderson, NV

After being side tracked by a petition to sign (we were happy to sign it)for Dean Heller to fend off an attack by the dragon lady of Nevada, Shelley Berkley (D), we showed our caucus registration print out and were directed to stand in the line to the right, after being told by a caucus worker that “they were trying to assign us a room.

After a not too lengthy wait in line, were we directed to a classroom (we would not have been able to find on our own) for Precinct 7414. Thirteen brave souls, out of the hundreds expected, chatted casually while we waited for the precinct chairman to enter the room. Fifteen minutes later we were still waiting.

A man named Dave who was seated in the room, walked back outside to the table of caucus workers and returned with the packet of procedure information for our little caucus and volunteered to run the meeting to the best of his ability. Dave was spectacular and the perfect example of what we love about Americans, our exceptionalism and ingenuity.

Our precinct was expected to provide six delegates for future events from this small group of thirteen and we did. The next step was to volunteer to speak for two minutes in support of our favorite candidate.

The members of Precinct 7414 who rose in support of a candidate were well informed, decisive, and impressive. It was clear that no one present was undecided about their choice for the GOP Presidential Candidate, so much for liberal media and their claim Republicans can’t make up their mind.
